Ladies Of Roses is an organization that is composed of female youth from grades 10 to 12. This organization is based in Memphis, TN and all of the members attend schools in the Metro-Memphis area. The three main focuses of this organization are sisterhood, education, and community service. The group members spend a lot of time together, constantly learning from each other. The organization sets a positive example for female youth everywhere.

 

H I S T O R Y

Ladies of Roses was founded in October of 1997 by a group of 6 elite young women by the names of Erica Cox (White Station), Deah Warren (White Station), Brooke Gladney (Immaculate Conception), Tora Griffin (Immaculate Conception), Melanie Townsend (Central), and Danielle Jackson (Central).

Today, LOR is learning from past experiences, and is steadily progressing and will forever be the best.

 

PURPOSE

The purpose of this organization shall be to promote academic and leadership development; to gain responsibility through mentoring activities in career and social endeavours; and to set forth and exemplary example for female youth to gain self-respect and the desire to succeed.

MOTTO

The motto of the Ladies of Roses shall be

"Making Success A Reality Through Assertive Actions."

COLORS

The colors of the Ladies of Roses shall be pink and silver.

FLOWER

The flower of the Ladies of Roses shall be the white rose.
